Outstanding Results

 

Lewknor Church of England Primary School is celebrating outstanding results again this year.

 

100% of the children in the reception class achieved a ‘good level of development’ (GLD) in reading and 91% in writing and maths. This compares to 71% nationally (based on 2017 national figures).

 

100% of the children in the Year 1 class passed the phonics test compared with 81% nationally (based on 2017 figures). This is the fourth year running that we have had a 100% pass rate and this puts us in the top 3% of schools nationally.

 

100% of children in the Year 2 class (end of Key Stage 1) reached at least the expected standard in maths (compared to 75% nationally – 2017 figures) and 92% reached at least the expected standard in writing and reading. Nationally, in 2017, 68% achieved the expected standard in writing and 76% reached the expected standard in reading. More of our Year 2 children than ever reached the higher grade of greater depth in all subjects. 31% of children reached the higher grade in reading and maths, with 23% attainingthe higher grade in writing.

 

100% of children in Year 6 (end of Key Stage 2) reached at least the expected standard in reading, writing, and in the spelling, punctuation and grammar test. Nationally, 75% of children passed the reading test this year, 78% reached the expected standard in writing and 78% reached the expected standard in the spelling, punctuation and grammar test.  83% reached the expected standard in the SATs maths test, compared to 76% nationally.
